Thursday Oct. 1, 2009 / At Sea

Jack

Flowers from Hilo

They will collect our passports this afternoon for the inspection of the authorities in French Polynesia. We arrive in Bora Bora on Oct 4. The method of collection will be to turn them into the cabin steward this afternoon between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm. The cabin steward will return them to us on Tuesday Oct 6.

Today is another sea day. We were up at 9:00 am and off to breakfast in the dining room. We ate with a lovely very old couple from Ohio. We were the last to leave the dining room.

We sat by the pool for about 30 minutes until heading off to John Maxtone-Grahams's lecture. While at the pool we observed towels reserving the same 3 lounge chairs as yesterday. Yesterday we watched those towels for about thirty minutes before removing them and seating ourselves. When we left an hour and a half later we turned the seats over to another couple. I wonder when the Lounge Chair Hogs returned. I wish now that we had turned their belongings over to lost and found. It looks like a rainy day.

I spoke with Maxtone-Graham after one of his performances and asked, at the urging of .a few readers, if he would be on the Sydney to LA leg. He will and was flattered that someone was asking. He sets up a little shop to sell books after each talk. He doesn't have a collection of books on board but is actually taking orders to be mailed to you.

There was a big art auction today. We spent some time during the auction taking pictures of the pictures we would buy if we were going to buy. I found the perfect one for Keller. Maybe I can get the picture printed in a large size and frame it for him.

  2. Thanks for taking the time and effort to keep us updated. Good job and moving the "Chair Hogs" stuff. I wish more people would do that, or Princess would actually enforce their own rules. Great Photos! See you in Sydney :).
